Besides that there are authorities who take care of the well-being of the people living in a society, providing them with all the facilities, protection, and opportunities required in their daily life. Society is organized in an unequal partition of labor and decision-making. Modern society is expected to provide protection, law and order, economic security, and a sense of belonging to their family.

  • Good communication leads to growth in the family. Spending time with your loved ones helps you to understand them in a far better way.

A good family relationship is made when you help children to feel secure and loved, hence giving them freedom and strength to understand the world and explore it, when you respect the decision of your children, when you support your family in every way; when you make your children learn the skills to develop healthy relationships with others and lastly when you give respect to every member of your family. Three important features of a culture are:

  • Culture is social – A culture is developed when individuals interact with each other and share common interests and behavior.
  • Culture is transmitted – Culture is transmitted from one generation to another through the means of language which acts as a means of communication for passing values from one generation to another.
  • Culture is shared – Culture is something that is shared amongst a group of people. A person alone cannot possess a culture. The practices and beliefs of any culture are thus adopted by a group of people.

Hence, we can say that a good family supports each other in the ups and downs and this is the basic reason why family is the basic unit of society.
