The same pattern is followed throughout all mathematical equations, be it subtraction, multiplication, or division. For example, it has to be 444 > x, or, x + 444 if the number 444 is greater than x.

A decimal in unit form is written with a **decimal point after the number 1.** For example, the decimal 3.14 would be written as 314. This is the way that decimals are typically written in mathematical and scientific contexts. In order to write a unit form in fractions or decimals, you must first identify the place value of the number after the decimal point. For example, in decimal 3.14, the number 14 is in the one’s place.
