    Flamenco dancing originated in Southern Spain in the Andalusian region associated with the gipsy and Roma people called Gitanos. Even the guitar music that accompanies Flamenco dance comes from the same place.

    It is known that the Gitanos were migrated from northwest India between the 9th and the 14th centuries. They incorporated wooden castanets, bells, and tambourines into the music.
