1 Fractions
A fraction would always comprise of two numbers, one would be the numerator, and the other would be the denominator. For example, in 1/3, 1 is the numerators, and 3 is the denominator. For getting the reciprocal of a fraction, you just need to turn it upside down. For example, the reciprocal of 1/3 is 3/1, which means 3.

2 Multiplying a fraction by its reciprocal
In every case, if you divide a fraction by its reciprocal, the answer that you would always get would be 1. For example:

3 Reciprocal of a mixed fraction
For finding the reciprocal of a mixed fraction, you would first have to change it into an improper fraction after that you would have to turn it upside down. For example:
If you want to find the reciprocal of 1 1/3 then-
Firstly, you need to convert it into an improper fraction- 3/3+1/3= 4/3
Now, just turn it upside down, and it will become- ¾. -
4 What is 1/3 of 1/3?
Calculating this would become easier if you understand this by an example. If you have a bottle of juice and it contains 900ml of juice, but you need to share it with 2 other friends. Hence- 900ml *1/3 = 300ml. This means that each one of you gets 300ml of juice.
Now, again if you have to divide this 300ml into 2 more people than you would have to divide 300 *1/3 = 100ml. Thus you would be left with 100ml of juice. Hence you get the 1/9 portion of the juice. Thus, 1/3 of 1/3 = 1/9.
