  • 1 Raymond Kopa

    Kopa grabbed Real Madrid's attention upon losing the European Cup final to them while playing at Stade Reims. Since then, he won two league titles, 3 European Cups and the World Cup's bronze medal the same year he got picked as Europe's best.

  • 2 Michel Platini – (3 times between 1983 and 1985)

    Platini is the first player to win 3 Ballon d'Or awards  Between 1983 and 1985, Platini won 7 club trophies (including Juve's first ever European Cup in 1985). He was Capocannoniere in his debut season and was the top scorer as he helped France win EURO 84 for the first time.

  • 3 Jean-Pierre Papin

    For six years spent playing in the French first division, Papin finished top-scorer in five consecutive times thanks to his beautiful goals (widely called Papinades). In 1991, Papin helped Olympic Marseille win a third consecutive league and reach the European final for the first time in history.
